About RADIOSOL

RADIOSOL’s official description presents a world left behind after a planetary catastrophe. Its protagonist is sensitive to radio signals, yet human voices are absent. Ruined cities and immense concrete structures form the setting. These details introduce the mystery; they do not answer what caused the catastrophe or identify every voice and character.

01

RADIOSOL beginner guide

Start with shelter, PC controls and the first closed-door objective.

1

The official description makes sunlight a central threat after a planetary catastrophe. Huge concrete structures provide shelter across the abandoned cities and megastructures. Plan the next covered part of a crossing before leaving shelter. The source establishes the shelter principle, not a safe exposure timer or a quantified damage rate.

2

Fluomask’s narrated gameplay transcript identifies WASD movement, F for the flashlight, Space for burst drive, right mouse button for jumping and Ctrl for sliding. This is a transcript-based control reference, not a claim that this site watched or tested the footage. The transcript is ambiguous about the Horizon Mode key, so no binding is assigned to that function here.

RADIOSOL walkthrough: the route to the metro

An ordered community-sourced route through the depot, transmission and Sphere checkpoints.

1

Capn’ Cattlehammer’s community walkthrough starts by leaving the opening hole and following the pipeline toward the city. Look for the blue M to find the metro after receiving N3’s instructions. The closed door is a progression checkpoint: the guide next seeks access to the Sphere through the unfinished Agglomeration 5 building across from it. The old railway is the author’s shaded navigation aid.

2

Vergusha places Agglomeration 5 behind the Sphere. Their landmarks are three ventilation openings glowing red and a temperature-anomaly notification. Descend through the opening to reach the fan. An initial access refusal is documented here; it is not evidence that you have found the wrong building.

RADIOSOL PC movement and controls

The transcript is ambiguous about the Horizon Mode key, so no binding is assigned to that function here.

2

Kafkamikaze reports Shift to run, Ctrl to slide and right-click to aim a jump. For flat ground, their sequence is to run, make a low jump and slide. They also describe run_switch.drv as reversing Shift behavior, but do not remember where they found it. Check your current bindings before applying the sequence; the pickup location is not established here.

RADIOSOL: how to avoid the sun

Use concrete shelter and the community-described railway approach when planning crossings.

Sunlight and shelter

The official description makes sunlight a central threat after a planetary catastrophe. Huge concrete structures provide shelter across the abandoned cities and megastructures. Plan the next covered part of a crossing before leaving shelter. The source establishes the shelter principle, not a safe exposure timer or a quantified damage rate.

First route and the closed metro

Capn’ Cattlehammer’s community walkthrough starts by leaving the opening hole and following the pipeline toward the city. Look for the blue M to find the metro after receiving N3’s instructions. The closed door is a progression checkpoint: the guide next seeks access to the Sphere through the unfinished Agglomeration 5 building across from it. The old railway is the author’s shaded navigation aid.

RADIOSOL Service Depot location and entry

Use the incineration-plant landmarks, locate an access-key lead and prepare for the depot encounter.

Depot landmarks and entry key

Look for the pyramid-shaped depot using the incineration plant and the tanks carried on a flatbed as landmarks. In Capn’ Cattlehammer’s walkthrough, a fallen larger spider supplies an access key before entry. The text does not locate that spider precisely enough for a coordinate pin.

Read “left” as a viewpoint

Vergusha describes the small pyramid depot as left of the incineration plant. That direction belongs to the approach described in the guide, not to a north-facing map. Identify the incineration plant first instead of converting “left” into a compass bearing.

RADIOSOL lore: premise and document leads

Separate the official mystery from community-reported places to look for more lore.

RADIOSOL update notes: October 1

The documented performance, navigation and progression fixes, alongside Update 1.

1

The developer’s October 1 notes report fixes for excessive Player.log growth, graphics performance and a Sphere exit softlock. They also cover navigation to the Sphere and Service Depot, incorrect cardinal hints, a marker-button prompt, district-name display and localization typos. Compare these specific changes with your symptom; the announcement is not a guarantee that all performance problems are solved.

2

The official Update 1 notes describe saved radio markers, added tutorial text and files, fixes for stuck or out-of-bounds spots and the crab-like pose, plus improved Dust Devil behavior. These are the developer’s stated changes. They do not prove that every occurrence on every installed build is resolved.

Common questions

Short answers before you set out.

How do I read the transmitter values?

The community instructions use technical values from 0–1 and civilian values from −100–100. Technical (0.75, 0.25) corresponds to civilian (50, −50); check which device you are entering them into.

Is RADIOSOL Verified on Steam Deck?

Steam lists it as Playable. That label is not a measured FPS or battery guarantee. See the separate Deck guide for one player’s qualified report.
